Scott joined Alive Publishing Group (APG) in 1998 after earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree while on a golf scholarship in Nebraska. Scott grew up living a healthy lifestyle in Moose Lake, Alberta, which made him a natural fit at APG. He spent a couple of years helping out with newsletters and book design before being given the task of designing alive magazine. His role at APG expanded yet again in 2008 as he began applying his expertise in professional photography, all in an effort to meet his goal at alive: to inspire others to live a healthy lifestyle.
